GameFly Keep It Option
So what do you do when you rent a video game from Gamefly and then decide that you absolutely have to own it? One of the great features of GameFly is their Keep It program. It is really quite simple. When you find a video game that you want to own, you simply log in to your GameFly account and visit your Game Q. There you will fidn the video game or games you are currently renting along with a Keep It price. The Keep It price is similar to what you would find for a used game, though sometimes it can be significantly lower. Locate the game you are currently renting that you want to keep and click the "Keep It" button right next to the game. GameFly will then send you the original box for the video game as well as the game manual. So you will have a complete used game at a great price. Plus, you will already know the condition of the game since you will have already rented it. So you do not have to worry about buying a used game online, only to find that it is scratched or has a problem. How can you beat that?

Video Game Renting Saves Money?
Video game sales have continued to grow at a rapid pace over the past number of years. With the latest generation of consoles including the XBOX360, the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii, added to the last generation of consoles that are still active, plus the handheld gaming devices, there is a large percentage of the population that owns one or more gaming devices. So as more and more people become gaming console owners and prices for individual games rise, it would seem likely that the desire to find a way to save money on playing video games would be increasing. People are always willing to pay for entertainment, even during difficult economic times. However people are also always looking for ways to save money and most folks simply love a good deal. So how can people keep playing video games, yet start saving money? The best answer is video game rentals.
It is pretty easy to figure out how much you are currently spending on video games and then find out if you can save money by getting a video game rental contract. First, take a look at how many games you purchased over the last year. Add up all of the costs of the games, including taxes, transportation, shipping costs, or any other costs involved in buying the games. Then subtract out any money you received by trading in the games, or maybe selling them on your own. Now you should have a fair estimate of your annual cost of buying video games. When I did this, I found out that I had spent approximately $700 on games over the past year!

I ended up choosing the two game rental option, but many people will be perfectly happy with the single game option. I believe that most gamers will find that they will save money renting video games vs buying video games. All it takes is buying three or four games per year to save money by renting video games.
