"In early 2002, Sean Spector and Jung Suh started to share their frustration with not being able to rent video games. Like many gamers, Sean and Jung bought 5-10 console games each year but wanted to play 15-20 more. They tried to rent at both the national video rental chains and local stores, but could find neither the popular new releases nor the classic games they enjoy playing from time to time. When they did manage to find a game they wanted, they realized that weekly rental was too short and late fees made it too expensive. At this point, subscription video game rental is a very small fraction of the $10 billion spent on video games annually in the USA. As the market leader, our goal is to drive overall market growth by demonstrating the value of a membership model to consumers.
